Pool Manager

We are seeking leaders  who will work with other managers, staff and operations to ensure a fun and safe summer.   This position will demonstrate a commitment to customer service and professionalism for this organization.

Duties:

  • Reports to the Board and  provides a safe and pleasant environment for members, employees, and guests.
  • Collaborate to  create employee weekly schedules using software and processes designated by the Board. Ensure timecards are accurate prior to payroll report submission.  Manage salary budget effectively.
  • Regular communication with the Board, other managers, and staff on duties, tasks, issues, or projects that need to be completed at the pool.
  • Conduct inspections of aquatic areas throughout the facility. This will also include concessions, restroom facilities, and overall pool grounds.  Advise of any needed maintenance issues.
  • Enforce the rules and regulations of the facility and administer disciplinary measures as needed.
  • Ensure the concession stand is staffed properly and communicate needed supplies and inventory.
  • Ensure members are properly screened at the front desk, using photos and member information in our membership database. 
  • Respond to first aid and emergency situations.  Properly document any issues.
  • Provide onboarding training for other managers, desk workers, concession, and lifeguards.  Ensure all new employees are onboarded.
  • Responsible for reconciling the financial transactions after each shift.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

    • Previous pool management experience is preferred.Self-motivated, and attentive to details.
    • Experience supervising others and/or demonstrated ability to manage coworkers.
    • Must be able to swim and have strong customer service and safety skills.
    • Will need to acquire ServSafe certification.
    • Current certification in Red Cross, YMCA or StarGuard Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid preferred, or may be required.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • This is a seasonal position.  Starts in May and works through the end of summer.  Includes during the week and is available weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Hours can vary.  

 

 

Lifeguard

Duties:

  • Provide surveillance of members and guests in the pool areas but also on decks and within the facility.
  • Enforce the rules and regulations to members and guests as appropriate.
  • Respond to emergency situations in the assigned zone. Assist in communicating emergency situations.
  • Advise pool managers on duty of unsafe and/or unsanitary conditions.
  • Assist members and  guests in a responsive and respectful manner.
  • Perform daily routine duties and maintenance of the pool to ensure neat and orderly appearance.  This can include cleaning of the pool deck and other facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Current license in Red Cross, YMCA or StarGuard Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid preferred will be required.  Training available.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care, sensitive consideration and efficient service to guests.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • Swim 300 yards, tread for 1 minutes and retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of the pool.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a humid environment and/or be immersed in water for extended periods of time.
  • Position sometimes requires the ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.

 

Desk Worker

As a desk worker, you would be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool by showing a strong commitment to customer service. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Greet guests and attend to their pool-related needs/
  • Maintain pool area in terms of safety and cleanliness.
  • Maintain equipment in a particular area, ensuring all protocols are followed.
  • Log members and guests.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Ensure proper recording and collecting of money for passes, guests, and other special events.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age

 

 

Concession Worker

As a concession worker, you would be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for members and guests eating at the swim club. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Greet guests and attend to their pool-related needs.
  • Maintain a concession area for safety and cleanliness.
  • Clean equipment ensuring all protocols are followed.
  • Provide good customer service.
  • Ensure proper recording and collecting of money for concessions.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age and 16 years of age to operate the fryer.
